Job Description: The Practice is searching for a Psychologist to add to our team! The candidate chosen must also choose us — as an innovative, growth-oriented company, we want you to love what you do. We are looking for a self-motivated clinician who enjoys providing flexible, evidenced based treatment modalities (i.e., CBT, DBT, MI, ACT, etc.) to treat the full spectrum of DSM-V disorders across the lifespan. The position focuses primarily on brief and long-term psychotherapy for individuals, families and couples in a fast-paced private psychology clinic. The position includes conducting biopsychosocial intakes for new patients, including diagnostics and risk assessment; ability to use clinical judgment when a client requires higher level of care, and providing referrals for additional psychiatric services, when necessary. Our psychologists work collaboratively with one another to ensure the highest quality of care is being given to clients. Examine and assess behaviour to diagnose behavioural, emotional and cognitive disorders
Assesses client's needs, abilities and behavior using a variety of methods including interviews and direct observation of behavior
Counsels individuals and/or groups to achieve more effective personal, social and vocational development and adjustment
Establishes short term and long term treatment objectives
Applies psychological theory and principles regarding behaviour and mental processes
Maintains complete, accurate, and current records of all clinical services rendered, including initial evaluations, progress notes, summary notes, and all other necessary documentation
Consults with other clinicians to identify potential psychosocial problems, or to simply gain a deeper understanding of any given case presented 
Upholds company vision and values
Performs other duties consistent with the above responsibilities

Candidate Requirements:
Active registration and in good standing with the College of Alberta Psychologists
Complete background check (i.e., criminal record, vulnerable sector)
Considerable knowledge of abnormal and clinical psychology
Possess knowledge and skills in multiple modalities of therapy and psychological testing
Excellent interpersonal skills
Time management skills: establishing priorities and accomplishing tasks in a timely manner
Ability to use computer technology including MS Office Programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Publisher, Visio), Internet and E-mail 
Proficiency in Wolf-EMR is considered a valuable asset
Knowledge of local community resources
Flexibility in hours — able to work days and evenings, as needed (weekends not required)
Availability to work extended hours, as needed

5 years (or equivalent) full-time experience providing therapeutic intervention to clients
